If you have had a pregnancy risk during this cycle, then pregnancy is a possibility if your period has not arrived and is 7 days late as you say. You can take a pregnancy test at this point. You can re-test in a week to verify the results if your period still does not show.

Well, sometimes periods can be late for a variety of reasons (see the second article I linked in my first response). Have you had a pregnancy risk during this cycle?

If you haven't had a pregnancy risk, then it's probably unlikely that you are pregnant. As I said, there are other things that can make a period late. If you are worried about pregnancy (the title of your post made it sound like you were), then it might be good to go ahead and take a test just to relieve your mind. Pregnancy tests are cheap, easy and it's not like taking one will make you pregnant. If it'll ease your mind, then it may be worth the cost to take that stress off you (since stress can further delay periods).

With regard to your cramping...any number of things could cause that. Maybe your period is coming, but is just a little slow this cycle (thus the cramping taking longer). If it continues and your period doesn't show or if it worsens, call your health care provider and get it checked out.

Really, it could be a number of things- something you ate, stress, etc. If you feel seriously ill, you might want to call a doctor about it (as one normally would), but I wouldn't worry about pregnancy, as you haven't had a risk this cycle.

Have you considered taking a pregnancy test simply to ease your mind?
