Hello!

First of all I guess I should tell you that I am taking birth control but that lately I haven't been doing so well with it. Sometimes I miss a pill but never two. I always make up the pill I miss.
I missed last night's pill but I took it this morning. I'm on the 3rd row of my pills (right before the placebos)
Anyway,
Today I had sex and somehow the condom broke and he ejaculated inside of me.
I am really scared that I'm going to get pregnant, I just don't know what to do. Should I take the EC pill or is it not necessary because of the birth control? Is the bc pill still enough even though I missed the other night?
Help me please!! [Frown]

Also I was wondering how the hell the condom could break like that...
it had a HUGE hole in it.
They were Trojan Warm Sensation ones, I just bought them brand new, it was right out of the box...

(Erbea, we're all volunteers here, so we can't always get to every question right away, especially since we're a bit short handed right now, but we do our best.)

A pill isn't really considered missed unless it's been more than 12 hours- so how late were you with your pills? If it's never been more than 12 hours, you should be okay. However, if it's been more than 12 hours, I'd recommend taking EC.

If you have a lot of trouble remembering to take your pill on time, it may not be the best birth control method for you. Would you like info on some other options that are easier to remember, such as the Nuvaring?

When condoms break, it's like popping a balloon- latex just shreds when it breaks, hence the giant hole. Was the condom put on correctly, with room at the tip, and used with extra lube? Those things can help prevent breakage in the future.

Thank you for your response!

I ended up going to a sexual health clinic and got the EC pill. [Smile] I feel a lot better about the situation now.
The condom was definitely put on right and everything and I used lube so I dont know what did it, but I just hope it never happens again.
