the past couple times I've masturbated i've experienced some bleeding, but I have used an object other than a dildo or a vibrator. It started the other day after my period ended. Is there something really wrong?

I'm assuming you're bleeding during penetrative masturbation? If so, it could be you're stretching your hymen a bit; some women might bleed a bit, but it's not harmful.
If you experience any pain or the bleeding bothers you, you've but to let up on penetration. Posts: 4636 | From: USA/Northern Europe | Registered: Oct 2005

Also, if you're using something with sharp or rough edges, that can also cause little cuts or tears in the skin of your vagina. You can avoid this by following Lauren's advice, choosing a smooth object with a flared base to masturbate with, or putting any object into a condom before insertion.

Also your uterus contracts during orgasm so given the time period, it might just be pushing out a little blood leftover from your period.
