I forgot my birth control pill a couple of nights ago and took it at 8am the next day (7 hours late). A few days later, me and boyfriend had sex about 5 times, most of which he was inside me for awhile before putting on a condom to finish off.

I'm worried about my chances of pregnancy because of pre-ejaculation (which I should have been worried about at the time and wasn't thinking about it). I've been on the pill for a year and am usually very consistent in taking it but I've been busy and stressed these last few days. I was going to order Plan B but since it's $40, I want to see if there's a huge risk associated with what happened this weekend.

Thank you for your help.

If this was a combination pill, there's no need for worry here about pregnancy, at all. Really. And no need for EC.

But just to be sure it's clear, if you and your guy haven't been together for at least six months, with condom use for ALL genital contact and do not EACH have two negative STI screens between you, that's also a risk you need to deal with. And to practice safer sex, the condom needs to be on for all genital contact, not just for ejaculation.

We've been together for 7 months. I have regular STI tests when I have my yearly physical exam (now a necessity for the pill) and I'm his first everything (including kiss) and has not had any contact with anyone that should spread an STI though i know he also needs an STI exam just to be sure.

Thank you for the advice, it really puts my mind at ease!
