I was having anal sex with my boyfriend the other night because I had my period and had a tampon in. He ejaculated in me and when he pulled out some semen came out as well. There is the possibility that it got near or around the opening of my vagina and possibly on the tampon. So I immediately took out the tampon and took a shower, but then since I had my period I had to put a new tampon back in. Is there any possibility that I pushed semen into my vagina when I put in that tampon, or that the first one may have absorbed semen. Overall, what is the risk that I may be pregnant? And maybe this is just coincidental, but it seemed that the next day my period seemed to almost stop. Please help. Thank you so much.

Unprotected anal sex does present a pregnancy risk. While your risk is less during your period, it still exists, so if it's been less than 120 hours, I would recommend you obtain EC.

(Not to mention, unprotected anal sex, just like unprotected vaginal sex, presents big STI transmission risks, so if you and your partner are not up to date on your STI screenings, you'll want to get in for those soon.)
