So just a few minutes ago I felt this...lump, I guess....on the inside of my inner labia. I freaked and rushed to the bathroom to get a mirror and looked at the so-called "lump." It reminds me somewhat of a pimple, I suppose [hard to explain], but it didn't pop or anything [maybe I didn't squeeze hard enough?]. I'm really scared now. I've been sexually active for nearly three years and with the same guy and, admittedly, condoms are a thing of the past for us. Is it possable to go three years without getting an STD from a person [not to blame him, though, not knowing what it may be]? Is there anything else normal this could be? I want to ring up my boyfriend to talk to him, but he's sound asleep. Arrrrg. :[[[[

Did you and your partner get tested already for STD's? If you did, and were both clean, and have remained monogamous throughout your relationship, chances are it's not an STD you are seeing.

Just like the skin on our faces, the skin on and around the labia are subject to the same sorts of nasties. Pimples can and do occur around the vulva, especially if you aren't careful about washing, and dirt, sweat and oil gets trapped under the hair follicle.

Give it some time. If it doesn't go away, you can call your GYN and have them check it out. If you haven't already had STD screenings, it would be a good idea to get them for both you and your partner soon, anyway.

No, neither of us have been screened for STDs. It's been of of those "You kow, we should really do this...." "Yea, let's get around to that..." "Okay...." <fade away> kind of things. I believe I'll definitly be making an appointment for us now, though :]

I was thinking it may be a pimply thing, yes. I think I'll make an ppointment like you said, though. Thank you :]
