I've been taking the pill for about 5 months now, last night my came inside of me the only contraception used was my birth control - pill (usually we use both condom and pill though).
Any way my question is, i'm usually on time for taking my pill, besides though right at the beginning of last week i stuffed up and took the pill about 6hrs late.
I'm curious whether that would of affected my protection last night. and also curious how safe (pregnant wise)is the pill by it self? do i need ec?

You are probably just fine this time, and most doctors/clinics will advise you that EC is unnecessary in this case. However, do remember that the more late you are with a pill, and the more pills you miss or take late, the greater the chance of a possible pregnancy.

This is why doubling up the pill with a condom is a great idea all the time.

The pill is very effective - if taken perfectly, it's nearly 100% effective (estimates range from 95-99%) - but if it's not taken properly (1 pill a day, at the same time each day), that efficacy level goes down accordingly.
