On the last days of my period, my flow is really light so I'll usually use tampons for 6-8 hours and when I go to sleep, its usually between 6-10 hours of keeping a tampon in. I would use light-days panti-liners but they make me itchy (I've tried many brands, all have the same reaction). Well, here's the thing. It was the last days of my period and I suddenly woke up with body aches, a terible headache and as the day progressed, so did my fever(up to 102). I got scared, thinking that it might be TSS, but I just took some Motrin every few hours and by the next day, I was feeling better. Was this just a 24-hour virus type deal? Or is that how TSS works, you only get it for a day?

it probably had nothing to do with your tampon if it came and went in 24 hours. TSS is more of a thing where in under 24 hours, you get extremely ill, and if you don't seek treatment quickly, you could die. it is not something that does away on its own.
