My boyfriend has a single red sore on his penis, could it be a mild case of herpes even though that comes in small cluysters or could it be that he rubbed it raw, as he enjoyas manual sex quite often?

sorry, but we can't diagnose spot and sore online because 1. we're not MDs, and 2. even if we were, we aren't looking directly at the sores and cannot make a definite diagnosis.

your boyfriend needs to abstain from sexual contact (esp. with you if it may be herpes) till the sore is identified and heals up.

If he is worried it is herpes, he needs to have a doctor look at it ASAP. The only way to definitely diagnose genital herpes is to have an open sore tested.

If the sore turns out to just be chafing, then your boyfriend can simply ease up on masturbation, or at least use lotion to keep the skin soft. WARNING, though, lotion cannot be used during partnered manual sex (i.e., if you give him a handjob) because the lotion will dissolve the latex in the rubber gloves you should be using for the task.

Mmm ... crispy, delicious bacon.
