my bff had sex with her boyfriend without a condom, b/c they had no other protection.. the next day, we went to the clinic together.. and then we go the 72 hour pill it made her sick and she fell asleep with out taking the second.. she she take the spare pills the nurse gave her? please please we need help quick!

i threw this question to some nursing students sitting with me. the following was their answer:

assuming she hasn't taken any other hormones (regular birth control) she needs to take the second pill ASAP. the sooner the better.

and my addendum: follow up with a pregnancy test 10 days from now to make sure it worked.
