Hi all

Just a quick question

I started my new pack of Birth control pills a day later I didn't take my pill for one day cause I lost it down the drain will this effect my period, so instead of starting day 1 pill on Saturday i started day 2 pill on Sunday..

Missing a pill can lower the effectiveness of your birth control, especially at the beginnign of the pack. So, you'll want to check the patient information insert that came with your pills to check what they suggest you do in case of a missed pill. You'll also want to back up with condoms for at least a week, just to be safe.

That's not something we can predict. A missed pill can have an effect on some people's bleed, while others notice no difference.

For the future, if you lose a pill, the best thing to do is take one to replace it so that you're taking your pill as you should. You can ask your doctor about having a spare pack of pills so that you have replacements available in case of accidents like this.
