Hi. I have a quick question about STDs. I was trying on some shorts in a store and wasn't wearing underwear. Is there a possible risk for me to contract any kind of STD?

Theoretically, I suppose, pubic lice could be transmitted that way, although that would be very, very unlikely. STIs of all kinds are classified as such because they are transmitted through sexual contact the majority of the time.

Okay. I went home and took a shower just in case. I also haven't shaved recently and there wasn't any open/recent cuts so should that help too. But I should be free of any major STIs correct?

Beyond pubic lice, this simply is not how STIs are acquired. That said, it really is good from to not do that without underwear, for everyone's health. next time, you don't have any on, skip the shorts try-on.

You can go into the sexual health section of the site via the menu up top and look at the STI files to see how each of them are, if you still want more reassurance.
