I have a question. What if there was a potential risk of a pregnancy a few days before a period? Is it possible to get pregnant?

Let's say the girl's period happened during a Thursday and then there was a sexual act on the Monday before. Can she become pregnant or is there not enough time?

And is it also possible to become impregnated even during the start of a menstrual period?

*assuming there was bodily fluids involved

Thanks [Smile]

It's not possible to become pregnant while having a period, because pregnancy involves implantation in the uterus lining and that can't happen while the lining is being shed.

If someone has a period, they are not pregnant.

If a person has unprotected intercourse while having a period, though, they are not protected from pregnancy. It is possible for that intercourse to create a pregnancy which implants and begins after the period finishes.

Are you still concerned about your situation, which you've asked us about before? Remember that an activity which can't cause pregnancy still can't cause pregnancy whenever it was done.

Dinyil, I am also going to ask that please, as mentioned in the user registration agreement, you search the main site for answers first before coming here to the boards to ask a question.

For instance, we have two fully dedicated pieces explaining the fertility and menstrual cycle, one specifically about pregnancy, even, so if you had looked there and took the time to read through at least one of those, you would have had your answer.

Okay? Thanks. [Smile]
