Hi! I have a question: a few days ago I run my first marathon and it was supposed that my period came just the next day of the race but it didn't...two days after I spotted a little but nothing else. I am on the contraceptive shot so there's no chance to be pregnant, by the way I made a pregnancy test and it came negative so...could the big amount of energy and calories and that stuff I used at the marathon could be the cause of this delay? Thanks

menstrual cycles are really susceptible to small variations and changes in sleeping and eating patterns, amounts of exercise, etc. A marathon is more than a minute difference.
So, yes, it's likely that running the marathon, training for it, and so on, have thrown things off a bit.
