I am addicted to masturbation. what should I do? I am 23 years old. I never had sex. whenever I see a girl in tight jeans I think to what if I would **** her and all sorts of sexual thoughts come in my mind. I watch a lot of porn. I masturbate 1-2 times a day. I am addicted to it. what should I do to get out of this addiction ?

Hi enthusiasm,

I'm hearing you say that you don't like these sexual things that you're doing, or at least that you don't like and are bothered by how often you do them.

What I'm wondering is whether they're interfering with your life. For example, are you unable to do the things you need to do, and the other things you want to do, because you're spending time thinking about sex, watching porn, and masturbating?

It's okay if you don't like that you think about sex every time you see a woman you're attracted to.

I want to tell you though that there's nothing wrong with thinking about sex and having fantasies about other people; thoughts don't hurt anyone else so long as you don't act on them without someone's consent. You're allowed to think things. [Smile]

There are a lot of people, including us, who actually think that while there are many things a person can be addicted to, sex isn't one of them. For more on that, I think you'd find it helpful to read this.
