I recently had unprotected sex which is something I've only done one other time. I have been bleeding ever since I got home like I was on my period and I had to use a pad. I was still bleeding yesterday and now I am too. I'm not sure what's goin on with my body. This is usual but not as much as I am getting this time , and the time before when I used protection. What are some possibilities ? What should I do?

Hey there Cjhoops,

I personally do not know what's responsible for this bleeding; if it's still continuing as of now, I would suggest you get that checked out with a health provider.

Also, accompanying unprotected sex are the potential risks of pregnancy and STI transmission, so I would recommend asking your heath provider about getting tested; I would give them the exact date in which you engaged in unprotected sex, so that they can give you more accurate results (certain testing can't be done immediately after the event).

If you're also not interested in becoming pregnant at this time, I would strongly recommend taking emergency contraception ASAP.
