So maybe something to focus on with her would be how to cut the worrying short, how to distract yourself so that there just isn't as much room for the worry. Have you and she talked about strategies to help with anxiety?

i wouldn't worry if it didn't keep happening. it's the only thing left that is still feeding my fears, because i can only think that it didn't happen before this scare, never ever experienced anything like it before therefore it MUST be a result of this. We have talked through some things, which all seem good when i'm sat there with her. putting them into practice at home by myself is another story.

It can definitely be tough to get in the habit of doing new things. However, there's really no way to do it but to do it, if you know what I mean, and since this is causing you a lot of distress I think it's a great time to give yourself a little push to put some of these things into practice.
Since your therapist has given you some options, how about you make a list of them and set some goals this week to do at least one of those things when you start to worry?
