I read somewhere that stress causes only ovulation to be delayed, but not the 2-ish week time between ovulation and getting the period. Is this correct? Because I was supposed to get my period today, so I'm wondering if this is something I should be concerned about.

First of all, it's very common for cycles to deviate by a few days at any given time, so it doesn't make sense for anyone to get concerned about a period that doesn't show up on *the* day they expect it to. A late period technically isn't considered to be so until around five days after the latest it's expected.

Stress itself likely has little to no impact on cycles, so much as the ways we do or don't manage stress and deal with it, like changes to how we eat, how we sleep (or don't), and so on.

I don't know of any research which pinpoints any specific time in the cycle these kinds of changes can impact it, nor do I know of any which states it can only impact when ovulation happens, rather than when menstruation does. My impression is that it can potentially impact any aspect of a cycle.

Alright thank you. I was worried because about a possible pre-ejaculate and fingering possibility, but you guys have already written the "pregnancy scared" article saying that isn't going to be a concern, right?
