i am 16 and i haven't got my period in 3 months but, for those 3 months i have got brown discharge which is what i get at the start of my period and there is no blood. i am worried. i looked this up online and it said pregnancy. 3 months ago me and my boyfriend tried having sex but, he only went in once because it hurt so bad so i told him to stop. he had a condom on. i don't think i am pregnant. why is this happening? thanks so much!

That aside, periods don't look the same every month. If you've had light brown spotting/bleeding every month around the time you were expecting your period, it sounds like you did get your period, it was just a little lighter than expected.
Lighter periods are not a sign of pregnancy. NO periods are a sign of pregnancy. So, I agree with you: a pregnancy is not at all the likely cause here.
If you are wondering why your periods are becoming lighter, or you are concerned, I would suggest that you make an appointment with your gynecologist to discuss it with them.

Yes, a lot of people experience lighter bleeds when on hormonal birth control.
Glad you're no longer stressed about it.
