If you follow a pregnancy test exactly as directed, at six weeks after the risk, how assured can you be that the results are 100% accurate. I ask because my period hasnt shown up, I've started birth control since my risk... But had my withdrawal bleed on time the first month I took it... Now it's missing and I have a negative pregnancy test but am concerned it was a false negative result. Thank you!

A false negative result six weeks after a possible risk, if you followed the directions of the test and the test hadn't expired, would be very unlikely. You can test again if you like, but I don't see any reason to doubt the result.

Thanks... When does a withdrawal bleed typically show up then when taking placebos? I'm on the third of 7.

Hi April688. It varies from person to person, so we can't tell you exactly when you'll start your withdrawal bleed. However, on average they tend to start on the third or fourth day, so you can expect to see it very soon [Smile]
