Hi, I started taking the pill (yasminelle) 10 days ago, and my period has still not stopped. I know when you first start it takes time to adjust, but I seem to be getting a funny discharge as well, something like the normal mucus thing during ovulation, but it's brown and obviously a little bloody(sorry, I know that's really grose) but it has got me worried, never happened before. Any advise would be helpful. Thanks.

Don't worry! This is neither gross nor unusual. Bleeds can indeed get a bit wonky during the first 3 or so months on the pill, and having longer bleeds, or spotting throughout, is very common. Should the bleeding become very heavy, it is a good idea to check in with your gynecologist. But other than that, you're just fine.

There is really nothing you can do to make it stop. If the spotting continues past the first three months, it may be that this pill isn't a good fit for you and you can talk to your doctor about trying a different brand. But for right now, you'll just have to wait and see what happens.
