i've been on birth control pills since i was in 9th grade. I'm now 23. I was on yasmin for years and last january started taking Loestrin 24 up until sunday. Sunday i started Lo-loestrin 24 Sunday night this week. I take it every day at the same time.
Am I still protected from pregnancy right away? I started week 1 pill 1 sunday night and had sex last night (three pills in)... am I protected from pregnancy? I used a condom but it broke, however the semen didn't go in my vagina, when my boyfriend pulled out he noticed it was broken, but he came on my stomach.
I will continue to use condoms but I wanted to know if I had something to worry about, since I had sex in the first week of the new pill brand.

So long as you started the new pill without taking more than the seven-day placebo break from your last pill, you'll have been just as protected as if you'd continued with your previous pill as usual.
I'd just make sure you're both up to date with STI testing with that break, since STIs would be the larger risk in this situation.
