I noticed a bigger glob of whitish cervical mucus in my vagina today. My last period started on May 24th and I'm expecting my next one June 28th. What could this be? I've never had sex, but I have been fingered.

Hi HelloLove994. Your cervical mucous changes colour and consistency at different points throughout your fertility cycle, so it's likely that this is just a variation because of that. If this is not usual for you -- if it is significantly different -- and if it lasts for more than a few days, you can get an appointment with your doctor and they'll let you know what's up.

It was just one glob, and I was wondering if it meant anything significant. Like I've said, I've never had sex but I have had dry sex and been fingered.. so I don't believe it's any sign of pregnancy, right?

As Onionpie said, the cervical mucus changes colour and texture throughout the cycle. It can even vary a little from cycle to cycle.

Our bodies change from day to day. If the changes persist beyond a few days, ait's worth talking to a doctor about. Otherwise, you can just chalk it up to your body deciding to do something different.

Now that I think about it, I think this may have happened last time, too. I was still just making sure because I seem to get paranoid about pregnancy even though I haven't had sex. [Frown]

You know you haven't had a pregnancy risk, since pregnancy can't happen just with fingers and a vagina. So, no matter what, you know this isn't related to pregnancy.

You're aware your thoughts about pregnancy aren't sound, so you can clue into that awareness when it comes to fears about pregnancy.

Have you read that link Robin gave you? I think it'll help you out.

Thanks, sometimes it seems to take someone reassuring me to get stuff through my stubborn head! Much appreciated!
