I asked my pharmacist this but she had no idea- do you know of any antibiotics that do not alter the effectiveness of hormonal birth control?

In this article there is a list of drugs known to interact with hormonal birth control:
Combined Oral Contraceptives (The Pill)

WE don't have information on which ones don't. It would be up to your doctor, as long as they knew that you were taking hormonal birth control, to prescribe an appropriate antibiotic or to counsel a patient that the antibiotic could potentially interact with the hormonal birth control while both were taken.

There is also always the option of using a secondary method to back up hormonal birth control while taking antibiotics.
