for the past 4 or 5 days, starting at around 3:30 to around 8:00 i get lower back cramps & it feels as if i have my period, or i am right about to. whenever i forget to take a pill, i start to get these symptoms around the same time the next day. but i have not missed a pill but it is just very odd that i feel like i am going to get my period soon but it never comes because i am taking my pill!

When is your placebo week due?

You're saying that these cramps occur every day at the same time of day?

Dark brown is often from old blood. Sounds like your withdrawal bleed might be starting. What do you think?

A withdrawal bleed is the "period" you get when you're on the pill. Because the pill stops you from ovulating, the bleeding you have during the placebo week isn't a true period, it's bleeding triggered by the drop in hormone levels in your body.

It could be that your withdrawal bleed is a bit early this month, or you're having a bit of spotting. I'm a bit concerned that you say this discharge smells though: sometimes that can indicate infection. Is it a smell similar to the scent you normally notice from your withdrawal bleed, or is it very different?
