i'm having problems using one of these things. i bought one a year ago and never got the chance to try it out as i went abroad and forgot it. but i've never had any success with tampons at all so i'm finding it difficult to use. any suggestions for me?

Are you making sure you're very relaxed asyou try and place your mooncup in? Have you folded it up to make it very small and thin?
I find that using lots of lubricant helps, and putting it in when I'm relaxed; like after a bath.
Take your time.

i tried inserting some fingers to see how much space i had and i could only fit 1. so assuming that the entrance is quite small, i am having real trouble with this, even folded up at tightly as possible. i could barely fit it in and i tried for a long time this morning and i just ended up sore and defeated Posts: 94 | From: london | Registered: Apr 2007

It sounds like before a cup or tampons are going to work for you, you're just going to need some more practice relaxing -- and thus, relaxing the muscles of and around the vagina.

i'm alright with relaxing on general, my problem with tampons is that i never get the angle right so i gave up on those. but at least i could insert them. with this i feel like there is such little space to insert and as small as i fold it up, it still won't work is it possible the entrance to my vagina is too small? because i simply can't get anything past the width of 1 finger in

The vagina and vaginal opening are both flexible canals. There's really not "too small" or "too big" when it comes to them for people without certain health issues or conditions that make either less flexible than they are.
What usually is the biggest barrier to that flexibility is people being tense.
