Hello
I am at the end of my pack and on Saturday I was 12 hours late in taking my pill. On Sunday I was 13 hours late taking my pill, my last one in my pack was Today which I took on time. I had sex on Wednesday. I know I have to continue on skipping the placebo pills to the next pack. Is there any chance of pregnancy? Thank you

Anytime you have the kinds of sex that can create pregnancy there is a chance of pregnancy occurring. If you were 13 hours late for your pill the effectiveness might be lower. I'm not sure what you mean about you need to continue skipping placebo pills. You can take them or not, they are just there to help you stay in the habit of taking a pill every day.

What I meant was after reading my Yaz booklet it says to skip the placebo pills and start another pack and not have a break. If I do that will I still be protected? Was there any chance of pregnancy?
Thanks

Skipping the placebo week does not change the effectiveness of your pill. However, it also does not mean that the risk you had is now lower - you have still had a risk. Does that make sense?

For future reference, there's a difference between "missed" and "late" pills. A missed pill is one that's skipped altogether; yours were late because you did still take them within 24 hours of when you were supposed to, just not at your usual time. The information in the Yaz insert is for missed pills, not late ones, so if this does happen again, you don't need to skip the placebo week.

(Also, please be patient. We're all volunteers, and while we get to questions as quickly as we can, sometimes you will have to wait a few hours. Thanks.)
