Okay this is a little confusing. My boyfriend and I had intercourse last night. It is my fifth month of being on the junel-fe tablet, and i have never missed a pill or even taken one late. this pack, the latest I've been was about fifteen minutes, which I understand isn't even late. we used a condom and had no rips, slips, or any kind of noticeable failure. However, as he was pulling out (and holding the base of the condom) we noticed a small puddle of fluid on my inner thigh, away from my vagina. I doubt any of my fluid would have dripped out and left a neat little puddle that far away from my vulva, which leads me to believe that it was semen, although it seems unlikely that semen would be able to jump that far either? okay rambling. sorry.

Bottom line, I would just like your opinion as to whether there has been a significant pregnancy risk here. I know ec probably wouldn't add much protection at this point, and that I can test in 10-14 days, I would just like an opinion. To ease my mind I suppose.

You do know you have your OWN fluids, yes? In other words, it's totally possible that puddle was your own fluids or even just sweat from one or both of you.

Oh yes, I know that, but it wasn't watery like sweat, it looked kind of murky I suppose. I don't know, it just seems odd that a neat little puddle of fluids would end up over there, and not leave any traces anywhere else (that we noticed). Thank you for your help though Heather.

The way bodies get pressed together during sex can often vary so much that fluids can wind up in a wide variety of places. [Smile]

Okay, thank you, I was just wondering because this had never happened before, and we try to be very careful, so if we were in fact doing something wrong or if there was some kind of malfunction, I'd like to jump on it as soon as I can.

When condoms fail, it almost always is very obvious. It either slips off -- obvious - or a tear or break is visible, just like with a busted balloon.

Right, and we checked afterward by pouring some water in it. None came out, so we assumed that meant that nothing broke. Do you think it's possible that some semen leaked out of the bottom?
