Sorry for all the questions, I'm a very curious mind.

I was wondering, if you were expecting your period any day, and you were to have sex, is there any way that having sex could sort of help to start your period? Either because of maybe contractions of the uterus, or just simple penetrating?

I know that spotting can occur, but that's different than a period or withdrawl bleed.

Thank you Scarleteen! [Big Grin]

Nope, sex does not have an effect on your menstrual cycle. Unless you get pregnant, having sex won't change when your period will start or how long it will last.

There is one, thing, mind.

If you are already about to get your period, and just haven't had any flow yet, an orgasm can kind of shake out flow via uterine contractions.

But that's only if your period was going to start very soon anyway, and also if you have an orgasm/uterine contractions. [Smile]

Yeah, that's what I mean because I was going to get it any day, but it seems like it came RIGHT after I had sex, but I knew it wasn't spotting because it continued into a normal period.
