HI Scarleteen. I'm not sure if you'd be able to answer this or not, but recently, I've been considering trimming/close shaving my bikini and surface region. My biggest problem is that when I do my bikini line, sometimes I get razor bumps and ingrown hairs and I don't want that to happen all over my mons. Is there any way that I can safely remove the hair with minimal to no after-burn/itch? Thanks!

Those things are just part of the deal when it comes to shaving an area like the genitals. Seriously. If you exfloiate when you take a shower or bath each day, that's about all you can do. If you don't want to deal with that stuff or want to less, then the easiest solution is either to choose another way of depilating (like waxing), only trim or to just leave the hair as it is.

In general, FYI, we don't do a lot of shaving advice here for the same reasons that we don't do primers on putting on eyeliner: cosmetic issues are just outside our scope per where we need and want to use our resources.
