I usually take my pill at 9:00pm. but I went to a movie tonight and forgot it at home. I always take it at 9:00 SHARP. I took it at 10, as soon as I got home. Will it be less effective for the next week?

Also: I was on Nitrofuration (abtibiotic) for a simple urinary tract infection for 7 days(I could stop taking them 2 or so days ago, so I havent actually taken any in a few days), will that effect my pill? The doctor didn't mention anything about it, but I read somewhere that it can decrease effectiveness.

My boyfriend and I were planning to have sex on Wednesday (2 days from now), with a condom. But even then is it still too risky?

You have a three-hour window in which you can take the pill and be considered a perfect user. So, if your pill time is 9pm, anything between 6pm and midnight is perfectly fine.

I also looked up the antibiotic you took and could not find any reference to an interaction with the pill. For future reference, you'll always mention that you are on the pill when a doctor prescribes you a drug, so they can take that into account.

yeah I did mention it to them, both the physician who prescribed me the pill at the hospital, and my family doctor, who I saw a few days ago, knew.
And actually the antibiotic is spelled Nitrofurantoin, my mistake
