is it possible to postpone a period by only a few days on bc?

i am having sex atm, this is my second full cycle. i'm suppose to take two more and have my bleed on sunday but i have a swimming gala on monday and would prefer to put it off but only by two days
could i do this by taking 2 extra pills then having my withdrawl week?

In theory, it is possible to move your withdrawal bleed around when on hormonal birth control. But this isn't possible with all brands, and it's also not the best thing to do for everyone, depending on your medical history. So, the best thing for you to do would be to call the doctor who has prescribed the pill to you and talk to them about this.

You'll also want to keep in mind that skipping or postponing a withdrawal bleed often leads to spotting, so you may still end up bleeding, after all.

yeah, i'm on microgynon 30 which i'm pretty sure will let me put my bleed back cause all the pills are the same rather than ahving sifferent amounts in them, i'm not TOO worried as to whether or not it works yeah, but i just need to know if i take a couple more pills will it be safe to then take my pill free week and still be protected?

Again, I'd check in with your doctor. And again, even if all the pill have the same amounts, skipping a placebo period still doesn't always mean you won't have a withdrawal bleed: it's just not a guarantee.

But if you are going to add pills to manipulate your period, what you do is skip the whole placebo period and take the packs back to back.
