Last weekend I lost my virginity. Before I did, I checked out how I looked down there and it looked like I had a pretty big hymen/skin fold that would be hard to penetrate through if I had sex. But last weekend, I didn't feel any pain (a little discomfort here and there but nothing serious enough to stop), and when I looked down later on, my vagina looked the same. I don't know why I have it in my head that once you have sex, it becomes a clear pathway/hole. I mean, my hymen must have stretched or something... My main question is, should I expect for that large skin fold blocking my vaginal canal to tear away or could my body just accomodate the penis so that it will fit without pain?

I guess it's hard to say because it's my own personal situation, but if you had to guess, do you think that most women's vaginas just become clear canals with little hymen once they've had sex?

The vaginal opening is pretty much never going to look like a "clear canal." It just isn't constructed that way, Even after our hymens wear away, residual bits of tissue usually remain around the opening through our lives, and too, when nothing is inside the vagina, it's a closed opening.
