I just went to my doctor and switched pills because of side effects I've had. I forgot to ask when to start taking them though - straight after I finish my last pack or after the week break? I don't particularly want to take them without the break because I want to make sure I get my withdrawal bleed (silly paranoia of mine...) and last time I switched pills I dont remember putting two packs together. The new one has the same amount of oestrogen and 125mg progesterone (or whatever fake hormone they call it!) instead of 75. Seeing as it's a higher dose pill, would I still be protected anyway if I did have my week break?

Hey there, musical_gal- you can start either way. You should be fully protected, provided that you don't take a break longer than your usual 7-day break between active pills.

I hope this has helped, and good luck with the new pills!
