i want to get on a form of birth control but i am worried about about the risks and side affects

i would like to use either the pill or shot, but im worrief about the risks of blood clots, heart attack, etc. how big is chance of those happening?

Combined Oral Contraceptives (The Pill)
Depo-Provera (The Shot)
Progesterone-Only Oral Contraceptives (Minipills)

There is much less of a risk if you are a non smoker and don't have a family history of heart attacks or clots You can talk to your doctor about the methods you are interested in, and they can help you figure out whih would be the best method for You.
