I think I have a UTI. The area around my urethra feels itchy during the day and it burns when I pee. I'm going to make a doctor's appointment ASAP, but I was wondering what I should do in the meantime to soothe my symptoms. I have been drinking a ton of water, is there anything else I should do?

Pure cranberry juice (none of the blends or stuff with high-fructose corn syrup) can help with UTIs. It's strong, strong, stuff, but it does help quite a bit.

Other than that, a doctor asap is going to be best. Keep the fluids (water is excellent!) going.

Or, if the pure cranberry juice is too strong for you to handle, you can buy cranberry extract capsules at the drugstore that work the same. [Smile]
