Hello!
So for prom I'm wearing a gorgeous satin dress that really hugs my body. Because of this I can't wear pads or anything and I'm terrified of a tampon leak. I talked to my doctor (The one who prescribed ortho tri-cyclen lo as my BC) and she said that to skip a period I should just take the row of pills again.
Is this correct?
I'm on a monthly pack, that is four rows of pills (the fourth being a placebo). Tomorrow is the last pill in my third row (meaning the last pill before my placebo row).
On tuesday (day after tomorrow) do I take the first pill from the first row of a new pack? or the first pill from the -third- row of a new pack so that I'm in essence just doubling this week?
I don't want to make a mistake with these hormones!
Thank you [Smile]
OC

I don't think you can skip bleeds with triphasic pills (like OTC-low) like that. They usually only suggest this with monophasic pills. Even if you do try to skip your period with OTC-low, you will likely have some sort of bleeding anyway.

I would forget messing with the hormones and wear a thin pad and check your tampon frequently.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean skip a bleed, I meant postpone it for a week.

Either way, you'll likely still experience some breakthrough bleeding, so LilBlueSmurf's advice still stands.
