Ok I finished my 3 day treatment for what I assumed to be a yeast infection because I was on antibiotics. I posted previously about how I noticed a wierd smell the second night I used the suppository. It wasn't a "foul" smell it was just a different smell..kind of unpleasant. Well the redness and irritation have disappeared and so has the itching. My vaginal area is now back to a pale pink. The smell is barely there. Before it was really strong..but now I don't smell it anymore. So the smell has left basically. I was wondering if anyone had any idea as to what caused the smell. I'm thinking that it was related to the yeast infection because each day the smell was a little less noticable. Any ideas? Thanks!

FYI: I was recently tested for gonorrhea and clymidia not too long ago and treated for trich and the last sexual encounter I had was protected.

Yeast infections often do have a yeasty scent to them: generally kind of like baking bread. So it wouldn't be atypical for yours to have created a scent, and if the scent is going away as the infection does, then yes: it's sage to presume that's what it was about.
