i took ec not too long ago...am i supposed to tell my family physician about taking it?
I'm pretty sure I have a UTI...I have classic symptoms...however, my doctor is the one I've been seeing since birth, pretty much. I can't tell him I've had sex...because that goes right back to Mum. I don't know what to do.
And if they take a urine sample and although it's a slim chance, if I'm pregnant...then that will ALSO go to my mum. What do you suggest?

actually, your doctor is obligated to keep your health information confidential. If you are concerned about this, MENTION that your confidentiality is EXTREMELY important. It is easy to win a lawsuit over violation of patient confidentiality rules.
Tell your doc you took EC, and go to him as needed (like now). Just remind your doctor that you need your rights respected as any other patient.
