Hello there. I'm starting to get concerned about my period.

My period is about a week late now, and I'm been having a brownish discharge with maybe some light spotting. My partner and I are very careful about our sexual activity. I am a virgin, but we do have dry sex on occation where both of us have our underwear on. He never came while we were having dry sex.

If it makes any different, I was out sick for a week with tonsilitus.

I know its silly because there is a low pregnancy risk, but I'm getting worried.

Thank You.

All sorts of things can delay a period. High stress (like being sick) can do it. You don't sound like you've had a pregnancy risk, so you're probably okay there. Sometimes, a period will skip a cycle. It will come eventually.

Have a looksee at our article on periods: MIA or Dude, Where's My Period?
