i know that there could be a foul smell..but what exactly do you mean by foul smell?

Discharge that is NOT normal, but a likely signal of infection or illness may:

be chunky or very heavy, with small curds like cottage cheese
be very watery
have a strong odor
be grayish, greenish, yellow or pinkish

The odor is usually much stronger than your normal odor. For a yeast infection, it's usually a strong yeasty smell, like bread. Vaginas do have a smell, but this smell would be stronger than normal and combined any of the symptoms described above.
