Hey, I really want to get an STD screen so I went to this clinic downtown but it was so packed that they wouldn't have time for me.
I work at the times that the clinic was the walk in and they aren't accepting appointments for a while.
So I guess I can go to my regular physician to get one done right? But the thing is, I was just going to get my yearly physical done but they said you are only allowed one once a year and it hasn't quite been a year yet.
So my question is, if I called and said I wanted an STD screen.. do they do that at the regular doctors office? Would they say the same thing to me about having to wait for my yearly physical? And when I call do I just tellt he receoptionist that I want and STD screen?

Yes, your primary care physician can do a STD screen for you. s/he may not be able to do screens for herpes, but the rest of them should be readily available. Just call and ask for an appointment. It can be separate from your annual physical. Good luck!
