I know this has been asked numerous times but I would like to know what it's like to have sex for the first time? Does it hurt? If so, how bad? Is the pain unbearable? Does a virgin always bleed? What if she is penetrated slowly, will the pain be less? And does the fact that your older or younger help the pain?
I don't know what its like and I can't really talk to anyone about it as it isn't your normal day to day conversation so I'd really appreciate it if I could get some answers as it has really really been working on my mind. Thank you. xxx

Hi there,
Some women experience pain and/or the first time they have penetration intercourse, some women don't. A man cannot tell if a woman has never had intercourse the first time they have sex (unless she has a visible hymen that he can see). Many women don't have hymens even if they haven't had sex.

The vagina is very flexible and can expand to accomodate objects--it's designed for a baby to pass through, after all! So, there's no such thing as virgins being tighter regardless of age, etc.

As for being penetrated slowly, the first time during intercouse, taking it slow is better to make sure you both are relaxed and time to stop or slow down if it does hurt.
