I know it is important to pee after sex so that you decrease your risk of getting UTIs. I am prone to UTIs and I make sure that, following intercourse, I head to the washroom immediatly after. However, it HURTS to pee. It feels like my urine is sulfuric acid following sex. Or I'm peeing razor blades. (Hurts my whole vulva) I've talked to a few other females about this and they say it happens to them also. Is this normal? If not, what can I do? (I'm STD free)

Well, my first thought is to ask how much water you are drinking? If you are drinking lots of acidic beverages, that could be contributing to the sensation. Also, are you urinating before activity? That might help as well. You might want to consider washing off a bit before you urinate (you've mentioned that the lubricant you are using is causing irritation -- this might be contributing to the problem as well). This is also something that you should probably discuss with your physician. That much pain is not normal and may indicate an infection (like a UTI, which can pop up on it's own).
