I'm wondering about something that is going on with my period. I had my last one on the 12 of November. I've been irregular for the past few months. I recently have started cheerleading and so I've had a lot more exercise than usual, plus I've been pretty stressed out from school. Basically, I'm wondering why my period is so late??? I haven't had sex before and the last time I was in close contact with a guy was back in October and I've had a period since. I'm just confused about what is going on because I haven't done anything...like the only contact I've had since my last period is like an everyday hug or pat on the back. Just looking for some possible reasons for the delay! Thanks.

Stress or a change in exercise routines can play a major role on your cycle. It could delay your period, or you could miss a period completley.

Also, Bobolink-one of our great Advocates just answered a question like this in one of our other forums. He gives a great explaination and a link that you should read that might help you out some.
