Hey Scarleteen...I had a pregnancy risk which occured on May 30th. I took the ECP on June 1st. Today on 6/16, I took a HPT and its been 17 days since the risk occured. I got a negative result. Is it safe to say that since it's been a little over 2 weeks, that I got an accurate result? I will double check by going to the clinic to get another test in a week.
I just want to say that I realize that I am NOT ready for the consequences that intercourse may bring. I've been driving myself insane with worry and I just can't take it anymore. I will hold off on intercourse until I am truly ready because it's just not worth my mind.
I also want to truly thank Scarleteen for all their help and support they give us. I don't know who I would turn to sometimes if I didn't have the help of Scareleteen so THANKS a million!

17 days is plenty of time ot get an accurate result, but if the additional test helps confirm things for oyu, then by all means go for it.

And applause to you for having the sense to stop having sex because you know you can't handle it right now. That's wise and responsible.
