I went to a party this weekend and got totally drunk. I never have before, and I woke up the next morning next to this guy. I've known him forever, so I trust him, but neither of us remember ANYTHING. I got a pregnancy take home test because I'm really worried about the whole situation, but it says that you can't take the test until you miss your period? Is that accurate, do I have to wait for the next few weeks before I can even find out? If I take it before that, will it be inaccurate? Help!!

go to your local Planned Parenthood clinic ASAP and ask for an STD screen and emergency contraception. EC is most effective within the first 72 hours following the sexual encounter (or suspected sexual encounter), but can be used even a bit after that (but don't delay!!!).
The home pregnancy test tests for a pregnancy specific hormone which is only secreted *after* the fertilized egg implants in the uterus. you can stop this from happening by getting the EC.
Just a reminder: getting totally loaded in group settings is a Very Bad Idea. It's a bad idea to drink alchohol past moderation in any event, but it is not only unhealthy, but unsafe to do so at parties.
Next time, switch to water or soda. Don't put yourself in harm's way.
