okay well the reason i am writing in here is because i want to know if its normal before and after your period if you have discharge, its like a whitish/yellowish color, it doesnt smell but its really un-comfortable...it feels as though i still have my period but its not. its sumtimes a little bit of discharge and sumtimes alot...is that normal?? please answer this. thanx

Yes, discharge is normal and every woman has vaginal discharge in varying degrees. It's perfectly fine unless it has a strong odor, has curdles/chunks, or greenish, because then it can be indicative of something wrong.

Sounds odd, but discharge can actually be pretty useful--it can sometimes signal when you're going to have your period so that you can be ready. You can even use it to chart your cycles: http://www.scarleteen.com/body/ontherag.html

If you want, you can use a pantyliner (we recommend cotton Natracare liners) on days when you have heavier discharge.
