I was wondering if it was safe to use tampons when you have a yeast infection. Also is it safe to use medication to treat a yeast infection while your on your period?

Thanx a bunch.

You don't want to use tampons if you have a yeast infection, cause the tampons will absorb the medication instead of letting it do its job. You can use medication for yeast infections while you're on your period, but it's best to use pads or other menstrual alternatives during that point.

We also have an article on yeast infections at http://www.scarleteen.com/infection/fbi_yeast.html that has more information.
