I never thought that I would have feelings for a girl. I have nothing against homesexuality and it would not matter if I turned gay. I am just extremely confused. There is a girl that I know who is a lesbian. We play lacrosse together and so we spend some time together. When we have away games she usually wants me to sit near her and seems to come on to me. I have never liked a girl, but there is something different about her. I think about her all the time and can't wait to see her again. Can you tell me what is going on and what I should do?

Dear Denise, It sounds like you have a crush. It may be confusing or strange to be attracted to a girl if you always assumed that you were heterosexual, but really, you like who you like. Maybe you're bi, straight but just happened to be attracted with someone female, or a lesbian. Only you can assign those labels to yourself, and if you don't know which one you want to use, don't bother. You like who you like, and since your love interest is a lesbian and possibly interested in you, it should make life a bit easier, eh? If you haven't done so alread, you can look through our Orientation and GLBT relationships forums, as well as our Gaydar section. Good luck!
